Founded on sketching from life, my work is informed by my profession as a vet and research student. I try to understand both the anatomy of my subjects, and the meeting point of narrative in science and art. I enjoy exploring the tension between surface and depth; producing initial linear studies which I can then develop into larger works. I held a studio with OPEN Ealing, London for two years, where I took advantage of life classes and benefited from the supportive community that grew in the building, including collaborating with the exhibitions that took place at the studios. Currently I am based in Aarhus, Denmark.
